The Stentor Student II viola is recommended by teachers and music services for its quality and reliabilityand good responsive tone.  The viola is carved from solid tonewoods with a spruce front and maple back and sides with an ebony fingerboard and pegs and a composite tailpiece with integral adjusters. The outfit comes with a lightweight case and good student wooden bow with an ebony frog.  Violas are known by their back measurement (LOB) and the Stentor II comes in sizes 12', 13", 14", 15", 15 1/2", 16", 16 1/2".  

All our violins are checked thoroughly in our workshop before sending out to customers. Particular attention is given to the bridge and string height to ensure that the instrument is comfortable to play.  The viola is supplied with the original factory strings.  If you would like to enhance the tone of the instrument with superior strings there is an option to do so.
